Expert Opinions in Environmental Toxicology
The Expert Opinions in Environmental Toxicology are issued e.g. for the clarification of disputes in civil cases. Furthermore, they also serve in cases of criminal trials.
Primarily these Expert Opinions are issued to answer the question whether toxicologically relevant chemicals or environmental chemicals (e.g. indoor emissions) are present or not, and whether these chemicals may have caused a damage to humans, to animals, or to living homes or other buildings.
Concerning the type of chemicals/environmental chemicals, the emphasis is on several groups of indoor emissions, in particular on:
• Formaldehyde,
• Volatile Organic Compounds ("VOCs"),
• Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons ("PAHs"),
• Polychlorinated biphenyls ("PCBs"),
• Asbestos,
• Mykotoxins (fungal toxins) in mold, etc..
